LIDIA.
I was born in Zurich from Italian parents and I discovered my passion for beer during my Law studies at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. After my degree and months of travelling and working as a volunteer in organic farms in South America, I realized that becoming a brewer was what I actually wanted (better sooner than later, you’d say).
So in 2015, after finishing a brewing school in Italy, I moved to London where I started working for Beavertown Brewery. It's been an incredible experience, I covered different positions and I decided that I would have left my role as Head of Brewing there only for a project together with Valeria and Max! With them I share the love for researching and combining brewing ingredients, taking the best of their peculiarities to create high quality beers that give their best when served as fresh as possible. And here I am!
VALERIA.
As my sister Lidia I was born in Zurich too, from the same Italian family😉. I left Switzerland only because I decided that running as a racing horse jockey wasn’t adrenalinic enough for me, so I moved to London for a new challenge: working for Beavertown Brewery.
During the time I spent there I enriched my knowledge as brewer and further Senior Brewer, and I've been responsible for the starting up and management of Beavertown’s Microbrewery at the new Hotspurs Football Stadium. Thanks to that great project I started thinking about opening my own brewery and finally decided last year that the next chapter of my life would have been Bierwerk Züri!
The social aspect of beer drinking is for us of great importance and we'll love to get to know the people that drink our beers! My personal passion and challenge is aiming for the perfect balance between the different ingredients, in order to create a beer that you'd never stop drinking.

Hi, I am Max, the third member of the Bierwerk Züri team. I was born in Bavaria, so beer has probably always been part of my life!
Since I studied Brewing in Weihenstephan it’s all about brewing beer. During my time in the UK, where I worked at St. Austell Brewery in Cornwall and Beavertown Brewery in London - you guessed it, I met Vali & Lidia! I then spent a few years as Production Manager at Schönramer Brewery, when I finally decided the time was right to make that brewery plan happen!
Just like Vali and Lidia I love caring about details, as they are what makes the difference in the final product. A great beer has to be fresh, could you then imagine a better place to drink it than right where it gets produced?
